Ranger Football Tailgating Guidelines
 
Purpose:
These guidelines are set forth to provide for and encourage a fun and safe atmosphere for all who are present.  
 
Tailgating Hours: 
Tailgating is scheduled to take place after school hours and will conclude at the beginning of the football game.  When the game starts all tailgaters must go to the game or leave the parking lot.
 
Tailgating Location: 
Tailgating for Ranger Fans will only be available in the designated area on the southwest portion of the parking lot.  Guests/Visitors may tailgate in their desired location within the parking lot; however, they must also abide by the guidelines set forth by the Forest Lake Area High School staff.  Safety cones will be placed to indicate the area in which the tailgating will be authorized.  
 
Reason: This guideline is put into place to allow for a centralized tailgating location that promotes a safe environment and serves to preserve the cleanliness of the area.  In an effort to allow for a safe space for Ranger Fans to congregate, this guideline restricts vehicle traffic flow through the tailgating area. 
 
Parking Spaces: 
Each vehicle within the parking lot must be parked in a designated parking space and is only allowed to occupy one parking space.  Parking spaces may not be saved for other vehicles.  Parking is a first come, first served process.
 
Permitted Items/Actions: 
The following items or actions are permitted:
FUN – people gather to cheer on their team and enjoy the game day experience
Portable outdoor furniture (Lawn chairs, plastic tables, etc)
Charcoal and gas grills with a maximum propane cylinder of 20 pounds
Tents and awnings, as long as they do not impede adjacent parking spaces or driving aisles
 
Prohibited Items/Actions: 
The following items or actions are prohibited:
Alcoholic Beverages, drugs, or chemicals of any kind
Accessories commonly associated with “drinking games.” 
Activities commonly associated with “drinking games.”
Fireworks of any kind
Glass Containers of any kind
Open fires fueled by wood or other combustible materials
Inappropriate and/or disruptive music or noise
Household furniture (couch, loveseat, recliner, etc.)
Promotional or marketing activities without first obtaining permission from the school
Sale of food, beverage, or products without first obtaining permission from the school
Note:
Violation of any rule listed above, school policy, or state law may result in school consequences, legal consequences, and/or loss of activities attendance privileges.  Participants may also be asked to leave without any refund.
